The same stacking puzzle told through kamon: the family crests that identified Japanese clans on armour and banners. Crests were designed to stay readable as small monochrome badges, which is exactly what this game asks of your eyes.

How to play

Tap a lacquer stand to lift its top crest, then tap another stand to place it. A crest only lands on an empty stand or on an identical crest. Easy and medium give each crest its own colour; hard renders all eight in the same gold.

Objective

Gather every crest of a kind onto one stand. Hard mode runs the stands seven deep with all eight crests, drops the colour, and conceals every crest you have not uncovered: shape recall, not shape recognition.

Strategy tips

1. Learn the silhouettes before you attempt hard mode: sakura is five round petals, kikyo is a five-pointed star, uroko is three triangles, yotsume is four diamonds.
2. On hard there is no colour to skim, so scan by outline rather than by area. The pointed crests (kikyo, uroko) read fastest and make good anchors.
3. The buffer rule from Hue still applies: protect your empty stand, and never spend it on a crest you cannot immediately build on.
4. When two stands both show the same crest on top, merge them before opening a new one: it frees depth without costing a buffer.
